Does anyone know if a 2008 Ram 3500 tailgate will work on 2011 Ram 1500? Dealership not helpful

I would assume not since two completely generations and models.

The 4th gen gates are alittle shorter width wise between the two. The 4th gen fits on a 3rd gen, I don’t think it works the other way around. And it would probably look worse then the other way adound
