Did the cabin filter mod. The. Decided to crank the a.c. up for clear anything out. Then, like a sick wondered if there could be anything left. So stuck my hand in there...

Why do I always have to learn these things the hard way..

I'm like you. Can't leave well enough alone. Curiosity usually leads to more work and bandages. My lovely wife of 33 yrs hears me yell and just calmly asks..."Do I have to take you to the hospital again"? True. That's her showing the Trooper where my body and my Harley dug out all those sticker bushes. Three different episodes with very unexpected results below. Blood was from building next Harley LOL.5fd3f6d1b151c4fc1bebb630e7e80c63.jpg6ab2d1ab85ed572975ebc3ea8154a391.jpg32dc86ba3439144099fb3f316f5b28d2.jpg

Installed a set of factory black fender flares to keep my 35/12.50-17 Gladiator X-Comps in check! Now for a set of black 17x9 wheels in the near future to set things off. But I really need to do something with the chrome bumpers-line plastidip them black! IMG_3424.jpg

28 years old and this body is toast lol. (I'm also blind in one eye) haha

How much where those? I've been thinking about ordering either Caliper covers or order a roll of Vvivids High Heat Caliper Vinyl Wrap that's made specifically for calipers and engine bays. Figured I could wrap my calipers and then do some of the engine parts aswell.

I know the MGP or MGD whatever the brand is, I know they are $200 and that's outrageous and I refuse to pay that much for fake caliper covers when brand new red painted calipers run like $300 shipped. I'm either painting mine or wrapping then with the Vvivvid caliper wrap.

I don't know how hot brakes get, but I figure a can of krylon high heat would work. Cost 10 bucks and 20ish minutes per caliper.

I’ve painted calipers with non heat paint and nothing has happened to them and there great to this day prime paint and gloss been on for years and hold up fine calipers don’t get that hot that it will cause paint to bubble

Yeah, I mean I wouldn't spend hundreds for that when all it takes is a little time in the drive way. Im frugal though.

Well, I got my Mopar bug deflector on but it sure makes the hood tight against the grill now tho. That’s even without the gasket in place as well...

Guess I could try jacking up the hood support posts a little but what do you guys recommend since virtually any bugshield on these trucks is sandwhiched between the hood and the grill now?

Well, I think that’s gonna have to work... I raised the hood posts up 3/4’s of a turn and I was able to put the hood gasket on the front back on, and the hood doesn’t have to be slammed too terribly hard to latch it so whatch’yall think?

Thank you! I will say though, that overly-large, 1500 painted piece kinda does a good job now at contrasting between the two. Lol

That's exactly what's nice about these trucks. The ability to go in so many directions on a great base platform.
