Also technically what is a 2023 Classic. What previous year does it equate too?

No I bought a 2023 Classic I'm just wondering how classic is my classic? So basically it's an 09 with certain added tweaks over the years?Forum title has not been updated. From start of manufacturing in 2009 to 2024. All Gen 4's with tweaks over the years. It appears you are having a hard time deciding what to buy.
Thanks I will, I'm waiting for paperwork to arrive in the mail to sign and return and then it will be shipped from Pennsylvania to Florida. I bought it sight unseen.Yep, a lot of things were changed in 13. Besides, significantly updated electronics ...front grille/lights/bumper etc. Electric power steering ...a number of other things too. Think of it as a mid-model refresh. In the years afterwards there have been improvements.
Congrats on your new truck. Pics?
.
Sounds like it's not as Classic as I thought it might be. I like all those upgrades. The one I bought had many options. There were some significant updates in 2013 like the 8 speed transmission, pentastar 3.6 v6 was available and more modern infotainment. Uconnect infotainment was updated again in 2018 and added carplay/android auto.
To be more accurate it's basically a 2018, with any improvements that came after that.No I bought a 2023 Classic I'm just wondering how classic is my classic? So basically it's an 09 with certain added tweaks over the years?
It's not really fair to compare prices from 2 years ago to current prices. I mean it's outrageous that prices have gone so high, but that's the way things have gone. At this point I probably won't buy another new truck until after I retire and can pay cash for it.I paid $58kcdn for my heavily optioned warlock almost 2 years ago. This is what the most optioned one at the local dealer is, along with the cheapest Rebel.

You are correct, Dusty. That's one way those new to Ram trucks can easily identify the difference between DT and DS models. All DS models have five lug nuts and all DT's have six. Classic just means it's a 4th gen (DS) produced after the 2018 model year....or the body code DS is fourth gen; DT is fifth gen. To the best of my knowledge all fourth gen 1500s, whether called a "Classic" or not, had five lug wheels.

Dusty
