Just wanted to thank Cgeorgemo for the tutorial. I was able to get the parts installed yesterday afternoon. To help with the removal of the airbag I used a mirror so I could see what I was doing. I also bent the tip of a standard screwdriver so I could get a little more leverage on the...
I placed an order with https://www.partswebsite.com/moparonlineparts/
last week. The back cover for the steering wheel is on back order so I haven't done the mod yet.
Have you considered one of the seatback gun racks.
I have one in my Ram and also had one in the GMC before the Ram. These hang from the headrests and are made out of neoprene and nylon. Also they are relatively inexpensive.
Sorry for the confusion, the ASWC-1 does connect to the stereo connection. What I was wondering was where the new steering wheel harness connects at the dash end. The wiring goes from the steering wheel into a larger bundle of harnesses under the dash. I was just trying to figure out where in...
I plan on adding the SWC to my 2014 Tradesman. I will have to use the Axxess ASWC-1 adapter with my aftermarket stereo. One question I have is where does the wiring harness from the steering wheel connect? I took a quick look under the dash and the wiring harness from the steering wheel goes...
I just installed panels in my Tradesman Quad cab. I found panels from a 2014 Laramie Crew Cab on Ebay. The panels have leather armrests the upper and lower storage bins, chrome trim with a wood insert. They also included the switches. I have been watching Ebay for a while and when these came...
Sorry to resurrect an old thread.
Today I installed the skid plates on a 2014 Ram 1500. The part numbers are the same as listed by RAMEXPRESS. The front plate bolts on with no modifications. The transfer case required drilling 2: 3/8" holes at the rear of the skid plate. The 2 holes were in...
A few weeks ago I replaced the basic Ram unit with and inexpensive Jensen VX 7020. I don't need a high end system with perfect audio, I've lost high and low end hearing plus have tinnitus so everything pretty much sounds the same.
I used a Metra kit that included the faceplate adapter and...
Metra makes installation kits that include a wiring harness. If you check Crutchfield they list stereos that will fit your vehicle. On some of their stereos they include the mounting kit.
I swapped out the 275 60r20 tires that came on my 2014 1500 for 275 65r20 10 ply. A lot stiffer ride than the 4 ply tires that came stock but will be better for towing a trailer. There are a lot of "LT" tires in the slightly larger size.
Make sure you have clearance for the slightly larger...
The only "reviews" of this stereo turned out to be the seller who is banned from several Dodge/Ram forums. There are other stereos that offer similar features. The sellers tactics make me leery of doing business with them.
I'm also looking at upgrading from the 3.0. I was looking at that same unit and found that the only posting on forums were from the seller. That alone makes me suspicious of the quality and what kind of support I would get after purchase. There really aren't any user reviews.
I installed the Bilstein adjustable 5100's and the Zone UCA's today. Set the Bilstein's at 2.1" and I ended up raising the front a little under 2". Originally my fender to ground was 39 3/8" in the rear and 37 1/4" in the front. Now I'm at 39" in the front.
