That’s not correct, I have a 5th (previously a 4th gen) and it’s popular and extremely busy on other forums. I visit this site here and there and the info is just not there I don’t know why.
It’s all a matter of preference to what you want in your truck. But the Laramie seems that it has more options that I would like. The led package does make a difference on these trucks I wouldn’t buy one without having that package

And no I didn’t but yet again I’m from California and we don’t have those problem but it never hurts to coat them just for extra protection
Yes you have to remove the paint overspray.
There’s a lot of different ways to remove the paint the easiest that worked for me was with my handheld drill I attached a wire wheel brush, and just went over the whole bolt and that did the trick
