I wouldn't use anything but ATF+4 in these transmissions

ATF+4 is def a plus in the tranny. 75-90 is what I just used for my rear en fluid change last weekend. Don't forget the posi lube if you have posi.

Im new to the Ram thang(and now obsessed with them)..I picked up my 99 4x4 QC sport with 129k on it, a little over a month ago..1st things I did was oil change with Mobil 5000(conventional) a qt of lucas oil stab, can of seafoam in the tank and plugs, wires, dist cap an rotor(didnt do coil yet)...That alone helped mine..Check that airfilter..Better yet maybe swap on a old school open element air filter or make your own cold air set up(both seem to be popular)...I think im going with the cold air myself. But I think I got a plenum gasket to fix 1st.Im a newbie with these trucks..So my opinion might not mean much....lmao

You guys think he should put ATF +4 in a manual tranny? That doesn't sound right that's autmatic tranny fluid. I'll check my Haynes manual fo ryou and tell you what the recommend fluid is. I would service you front end. Check tie rod ends ball joints etc. Greeze anything and everything that has the zerk. Look at the conditions of your brake lines. If they look like there's a little surface rust it may be time to replace them. Check your U Joint's and wheel bearings. Rotate your tires. Change your antifreeze.

Didn't notice you had a manual trans lol. Sorry about that. 75W90 API grade GL-5 gear oil is what's recommended for your transmission

No it's not, it takes special Mopar oil specifically for the NV3500. It's kinda expensive, but much thinner than 75W90. I only know because that's the transmission I have.
