Tune your truck, set your fans for the tstat and no worries

Just about to swap to 180 in the coming days. What are guys finding is a good setting for fans? I see settings on my Diablo. Or does Sean stil, have to adjust temps in background?

You can manually adjust the fan setting like I do but some guys like their tuner to do it. Works the same either way. I set mine to come on at 188 and stay on during the very hot Georgia summers.

So when I first installed it, the temp gauge had noticeably dropped. Now a week later it seems to be back at the normal temp position. Did the truck just tune itself to run hotter?
I put my 180 tstat on about 8 months ago, after install, temp was rising to 210, got radiator flushed and filled, temp went down to 185, and stayed there ever since. No fluctuations.

So does this change ad any power ?

Dosent add power, but if get a custom tune your tuner can add timing. And everything under the hood will thank you. Only down side is the possibility of condensation.

I ordered a 200* for my 2012 5.7, should I do a 180* instead?

Not much point in putting a 200 degree thermostat in,the stock one is 203F.Kind of a waste of time and money for that change,at least go to a 180 if you're going to the work of swapping T-stats,just my opinion though.
