Hey guys so i had this guy on Facebook ask me if id like to trade my stock 20's alloy rims for his after market 18's now the only reason im thinking about this is because lets face it tires for 18's are a whole lot easier ( and Cheaper) to find than tires fit for 20's now i have stock tires on mine and he has 33's on his so i know i have to level my truck i was thinking about using Bilstein 5100 shocks set at 2.8" to fit said 33's under my front wheel wells. any comments questions concerns, complaints would be appriciated.

Tires on stock 20's are 33's so you don't have to level at all as long as the offset isn't too much on the 18's

Exactly what quietpeen said above. You'll want to find out the width and offset of the 18's to confirm but they should fit no problem.

Distance from the hub to the wheel. Some custom wheels want dramatic off sets, but you need correct for them. Have a tire store do your rims, tell them you want a stock offset so you don't bang your wheels into suspension parts, if you feel like being super safe.

18's will look great, it will look a little more like a 4x4, so those stock 33's will actually "look" more like 33's then they do with 20's. Level it, good idea. At 2.8 just know your axles will have an un-natural pitch, 2.1 is more safer when it comes to cv boots. I'm not saying don't run them at 2.8, just know you "may" need to replace axles sooner, it is not that big of deal, front axle shafts are under 100 bucks.

here's the look, which do you like better? In almost every category 20's will perform better, but 18's will give more flexibility on the trail. The increased sidewall costs you in street performance, but has a more of a 4x4 look and function. 1st pic 20 rim, 2nd is 18.

Ask the FB guy for the bolt circle and offset on his wheels. Ask him what truck he has them on.

Then we can let you know if they will fit.
