Okay, this is my first build. I paid $1000 for my truck. It has the 5.9L 360 which I rebuilt with my uncle. It also has a 47RH-RE 4 speed auto transmission. It came from the factory with a 46RH-RE but the previous owner replaced it. The new transmission only had 10,000 miles on it. The body had 198k miles on it when I got it. Here are some pictures from how it was when I got it to where it sits now.
Few days after I got her all put together
Doing work
Had to get rid of the stock deck
Every Dodge needs towing mirrors
A few days later I added some 33x12.50R16.5 Pro Comp All Terrain's on steel wheels. Definatley changed the look alot!
Those clean tires only lasted a few hours or so.
Doing some exploring with my Dad, He has a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9L Cummins 12V Turbo Diesel with a 5 speed transmission.
Going through a small mud hole. That is my friends 91' Suburban with a 6 inch lift on 35's
The paint on the truck was getting pretty bad, So I took it down to get repainted. There were also so decent sized dents in the box, so I replaced it. The truck is still in the shop getting painted. (1-27-13)
I put bedliner on the plastic tailgate trim and masked off the "Dodge" and "4x4" in bedliner. I like the look alot. I also did around the taillights. I also tinted the taillights.
I still have many more plans for the truck. It has really been fun to work with throughout highschool. It is my first truck. My next idea is to integrate an iPad Mini or iPod touch into the console and use it as my deck. I would like to get one with a data package so I can have wifi on the go.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for viewing!
Edit: With a big thanks to Photobucket, none of the pictures loaded. I guess you'll have to go off of the attachments. Sorry!
