it was new when i bought it. used it twice, once on the 87 performance tune and once on the 91 tune. my truck will not allow the tunes to work due to Dodge setting my ECU up that way. i have all the emails from the guy at SC explaining it. theres nothing wrong with the tuner, just wont work on my truck. lookin to get $230 shipped on it. comes with everything it came with new including the box. heres the emails and case number if anyone wants to check it out. a pic is on the 2nd post at the bottom
I’m not sure, I’d word it quite that strongly, but The tuner is trying to do its job and there’s something limiting it ability to make the tuning noticeable and productive.

It could have been that the vehicle may have a specialized update for a specific update for a certain issue and it will not allow for our tuning to take effect as it should. I tend to see this in the Ford vehicles, but not normally in a Dodge vehicles.

The reason I asked was the engineers had verified the files in the tuner to be normal and current with what we have been using for the vehicle application. Which raised the questions of possible mods. Since there are no mods to the vehicle, the engineers are thinking it may be a vehicle issue.

The engineers took a look at the files in the tuner and you have all of the files that all of our Dodge tuners come with for the vehicle application.
We can try to re-tune the vehicle since it had been updated and see if that would help, but it looks like there may be something on the vehicle limiting the functions of our tuning. If you were to read the diagnostic codes from the vehicle, are there any listed?

One more question, How long have you had the tuner? And have you already tried all the power levels in the tuner?
And none of them seem to give a noticeable power gain.
Just making sure, the engineer had a few questions for me to ask.

That’s fine, we will only be reading the stock file from the tuner. Also making sure that the tuner has the correct information in it as well.
It’s ok for the vehicle to be tuned during the update. It’s actually preferred so we get an accurate read of the stock file.
