2005 Recall on pinion nut coming loose

Just wanted to share this info. I just read Dodge is recalling almost 300,000 Ram 1500 trucks for year model 2005 for the pinion nut coming loose! Called Dodge and verified and luckily my 2005 is not one of them. Thanks Dodge

Not sure how this applies since they are taking care of the problem? They could be telling you tough ****, it's a 10 year old truck, fix it yourself.
