I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Bighorn

I started to have the traction control light light flicks on after driving a short while. It then seems to not shift past 4th gear and over revs badly over the 80km/h range. I noticed that eventually the airbag and abs lights came on. Put a code reader on and got p344, p455, c121c. These codes are camshaft sensor, failing gas cap and c121c is traction control. I just replaced the camshaft sensor and the code remained meaning it isnt the sensor. I read these are all controlled by the TIMP. Before I buy a new controller, what else can I try?

Thanks

TIPM? Never heard of a TIPM causing shifting issues in a transmission, this would be a first for me. Got me curious anyhow.

So all of these codes and CEL dropped first, then trans had shifting issue?

You can try bypassing some items and see if code goes away.

The lack of shifting comes on when the TC light pops on so I have to assume it's a symptom of that. Bringing to total list of issues to 3 (abs, TC and airbag) all controlled by the TIPM as far as I can tell. As I said I swapped camshaft sensors and had no change. The code came back up after it was cleared.
Codes on reader: p344, p456 (issue is gas cap, will be replaced) and c121c

Shifting issue came first, then the others. I had it looked at by a good transmission shop who insisted nothing is wrong with the trans

Since you swapped the sensor and the code was still there, try bypassing it. If the bypass works, you know it is the TIPM.
