So, Monday I was fartin' around and found a VIN for a 2013 Ram Laramie. Called the dealer, got some pricing on the new BiHalogen projector headlights.

First off, I want to see if they are a direct swap for the 09-12s.

Secondly, I want to do a light output comparison of the 09-12 halogen quads. Then a comparo of the stock projectors and 35W setup of mine. AND, then do a drop in HID kit to the stock ones, and compare that too.

Lastly.........I want to rip them open and take out the ****** halogen projector and put a real projector in there.

Anyone ready to hear what these things are going to cost? :shooter:

$579. EACH. :idiot:

I figured they would be a pretty penny..........but........ouch. $1,158 (plus tax) out the door. Hmmm, I can do better than that with HIDs.......oh, and I can throw in some projector fogs too......... :birgits_tiredcoffee

Anyway, can't wait to get them in and have some fun with 'em.........they were supposedly released from the manufacturer yesterday, and I was told to expect them in 2-3 weeks.

From what I recall.......

They are standard on the Sports, R/T and Laramie Limited.

They are optional on the Bighorn and Laramie. Again, I think.....

Duals are NO MORE. The quads have a slight tweak to them (the chrome in front of the reflector looks a tad different to me), but they are the standard light now.

You need a set of the new tails too. :D

Eh. No.

trust me, me too.

;)

I have no doubt that they will suck. They probably grabbed the same cheapo projectors that the 200 uses...........which, from what I've seen, blow.

Trup - you can't even get the stocker quads for $400 out the door (unless you get a discount).

d'oh! I was thinking of the 1 plug for the headlight bulbs, not the ENTIRE light.

Just found the ad!

These will not be a direct swap, unless there is a plug that goes from the H13 / turn to this.

Makes me wonder..........will the new "quads" have this same plug. I hope not!

Well, screw it. that blows - I can't hook these up to the truck to do the test. Buzzkill.........:superhack:
