Besides my engine issue on my 2014 my win/Ingnition switch just failed on me had to have it towed home from work. After messing with it if i jiggle it or try it a million times it will finally start I replaced one of these before on a older ram so its not a big deal my part number on the back of the switch is 56046942AF after looking at a few mopar sites im having conflicting awnsers on what fits.

This site says 68271986AA supersedes 56046942AF
Where as this site when i put in 56046942AF it comes up as 68271986AC)

So not sure what one to order my truck has no remote start just panic unlock and lock If anyone could help out would be much appreciated gotta get this fixed its my only running truck at the moment.

Sounds like it might just be 'dirty contacts'. Real common. There are tons of Y/T videos on Ram/Chrysler WIN Modules. Happens to cars & minivans too where the module is used. Esp with heavy keychains. Might be worth a search. Usually contacts can be cleaned or bent back a touch w/o complete disassembly. And put back in the truck.

It's kind of a DIY fix if you're handy. Just a thought.

I recently had my switch replaced in my 2014. Is yours the switch of push button?
If it's the button I can look on my receipt for the part number.

EDIT: Looking at your links and pics I don't think I'm going to be able to help, yours looks very different from mine.
Good luck though.

Not push button start regular fobik I will try to clean it but would also rather just order a new one so its reliable if someone figures out what one will fit.

You can have a bypass set up so you need never tow it again.

Those replacements will be useless to you unless you have the codes and can flash it. There is a site that sells win module and fobs matched.

These guys now look a little crazy with pricing, but see what the dealer wants. This is utterly sick, I think if it were me I'd go bypass and hide it.

UPDATE.
So turns out its not my ignition my keys where just shot it was so weird it wouldnt even say wrong key just wouldnt go into accesory/start I paid to much to get a new key programmed. However i have confirmed

68271986AC is the replacement for 56046942AF

Also it did not require a reporgram for some reason? fired right up It was plug and play maybe because I dont have auto start? No idea but this is the one i got tried and returned after finding out its not the issue.

Glad you got it back on the road!

FYI...When you see P/N's from Mopar Example: 68271986AA and 68271986AC, the two letters at the end indicate the most recent by the highest last letter. C in this example is the newest version. So looks like your research was A+ as you tracked down the right one!

I think the RF hub on your year truck is behind the seat not in the WIN Module like MY12

Thats probbaly why it didnt need reprogramming.
