Odd part is, the Ram was the lightest truck.
I can't believe how much less it weighs then my truck. Apparently I ordered 1400 lbs in options, lol.

Did I miss it or did they not put gearing information in the article? If they were geared as close to identically as possible, I guess we've got ourselves a race. If the Ford was running 4.30s and the Ram 3.73s, the Ford is substantially less impressive.

Well then, I'm more impressed with the Ford, putting to the ground (statistical tie) with 3.73s what Ram did with 4.10s . Dang.
To be sure, other things affect what hits the ground (like the tire size difference on tested trucks). But what hits the ground is the most important and is likely to influence which truck I buy for my towing uses.Have to remember what the final drive ratios really are with the difference in the transmission gearing. I believe in the 2014/2015 test that was shown somewhere, may have been in the comments section. The Ram had the worst of the group even when equipped with the 4.10 rear gears, I doubt that has changed amongst the group this time around.

Whatever Ford did to update the 6.2L SD, it sure has payed off. It placed #1 in all of the acceleration and brake testing by a considerable margin.

I can't believe the 6.4 dropped 3.5 mpg loaded with 2200# on the loop run.
Dang. The Ford tranny must be awesome. Wonder how hard it would be to swap the 66RFE out for it lol!

Fact is the 6.4 didn't and cant. Would have, should have if it could have, but it can't. They ran the test twice and contacted ram engineers to be told its operating as designed AKA EPIC FAIL. Blame the transmission all you want but it's a fail as there's only one transmission mated to a 6.4 in the 2500.
Don't like the fact a GM 6.0 beat the almighty 6.4, looks at the less power and less capable Ford 6.2.
Oh look a slow cummins, what's new.... At least it can move the load as advertised unlike the 6.4....
Ok lets put this to bed, the 6.4 is the best thing since sliced bread. It can out pull any truck every made, is the quickest and most efficient. Long live the 6.4.......
Now being that I own one I know thats a lot of BS, but if it makes the fanboys feel better there it is....
Tell us more.... how many model years did you end up going back to unload a 6.4??
It is the same exact trans that was in the 2009-2014 F150 and has a lot shorter gearing than the 66RFE. Even with a 4.10 in the Ram and 3.73 in the Ford, the Ford has more torque multiplication in the first two gears.
