Got a new 2500 Laramie on order and wondering if any of you guys out there with new HDs would mind taking a measurement of your truck from the ground to the top of the door sill (let's say where the front most part of the driver's seat is). Looking for guys who have 18 inch wheels and close to or completely stock size tires. My wife already complains about climbing into our leveled 1500 lol and Im wondering what the difference in step in height will be between the two. I did not order the truck with side steps so I might have to pick some up before its delivered. I think I saw somewhere its about 28 inches to the sill on the stock HDs?
Ive also heard some stuff out there that the Hemi trucks sit a little higher than the Cummins trucks, and the new Offroad package on the '17s actually makes the trucks sit an inch or two higher up front? Any clue if there's truth in those things? I know they have like 30 different part numbers for coils so not sure if a certain configuration might make a difference... Would love to hear from any guys who have actually taken measurements or at least seen a couple examples side by side.
