I just rolled ovah 265,000 miles on my 2009 Ram 1500 Laramie.
Replaced the plugs, coil boots, timing belt and had an oil change. Running real good.
Mechanic let me know I have 6 broken manifold bolts (3 on each side) and will notice a slight drop in power.
He suggested I have this taken care of from a shop that specializes in this kind of work before my valves burn out. I don’t know how long it’s been like this. He said it would be expensive. About a grand.
Anyone have the experience of having the manifold bolts replaced. The truck is in really great shape so if and when the engine ever goes im replacing it with a new crate engine. Way cheaper than a new used truck. Thoughts? Thanks
