I am considering a gear swap from a 3.21 to 3.92. I have a lifted 2013 ram 8 speed with 4wd, I have heard that I will need to buy a new front axle as the gear box is welded in the front.

Where can I get more information about this as well as installation procedures for this?

Any info is appreciated.

If I am correct you'll need a whole new carrier, or a used one from a junk yard
With 3.92's already in it. Just a heads up you would get more reaponses in the engine & proformance section. Matt at moes performance is your guy to talk to he knows these things front to back and knows what parts you need and can supply them for you.

I have to put this out there sense you put it in the tow/hauling section a gear swap will not increase you "legal" towing capacity/gvwr

i have a question on this, probably a dumb one. Is the 3.21 standard from the factory? Even with the HEMI? are the factory towing capacities different between the 3.21 and 3.92? I think the answer is yes but figured I'd ask.

3.21 is standered the 3.92 is a upgrade even on the hemi. There is about a 2000lb difference in the towing capacity between the two.
