Just got my first RAM on the used market. 2014 Lonestar quad cab 2WD with the 5.7 Hemi and 20K miles. The original owner made a few mods-Cold air box, headers, Magnaflow exhaust, Nitto 305/50R20 tires/rims and 410 gears. I'm sure he retuned the engine. All the receipts were in the glove box. I paid $26K for it in mint condition from a dealer....seemed like a good deal.
Sounds and runs great, fun to drive and fairly quick for a pickup I suppose. My other car is a Vette so hard to compare to a big truck.
I'm getting 19MPG on the highway (at about 80MPH) and about 15MPG in town trying not to stomp on it all the time. This is my first pickup so I don't really know what to expect.
So my question is-Are those 410 gears really hurting my gas mileage? If so how much would you guess.
