My number is from my app on my phone. It's usually pretty close to what my G8 reads. I track my miles on both the truck and the G8 which actually helps me get better MPG.

Your numbers seems about right. I track using a different app on my phone, but the same theory. I like being able to look back over the past month/ 6 month/ year etc to see how it's changed. Using a line graph I can see that my fuel economy has slightly increased after replacing my worn wheel bearings.

Depending on the age of the truck and how the in truck calculator was maintained they can be very accurate. Both my trucks were spot on with hand calculation cause they were reset every fill up

Using both Fuelly.com and Gas Cubby on my iphone, the calculated numbers are as follows:

Combined: 16 MPG
Best highway: 21 MPG

A little low for the combined compared to the EPA estimate of 17, but bang on to the EPA highway estimate of 21.

The EVIC combined is showing a slightly lower value of 15.6 MPG

Ironically, so far, we are getting better combined fuel economy than we were with our 2008 GMC Acadia. That said, we are more conscientious about fuel use with the truck. However, we have matched the best highway fuel economy numbers against the Acadia. Pretty impressive as far as I'm concerned.

My old Hemi would read about 10mpg when towing, but hand calculated it was just shy of 8mpg. Same with city driving hand calculated was about 2-3mpg lower than the readout.

My current truck is a little different, as mentioned above mine is off pretty drasically, but a lot of that has to do with my tuning.
Although even before I changed any of that there was a 2-3 mpg discrepancy.
I can't speak for the newer trucks, but with the advances in computer technology (being that the fuel eco info is comprised from various sensors) im sure that they are more accurate.

WOW, the newer trucks seem to get better MPG. My '13 with the Hemi and only a "Green" filter in the stock box and a 24" Mufflex is averaging 15.5 on the first half tank (16 gallons) of gas and that's a pretty even mix 50/50 of highway and town.

Oh, I have roughly 250 miles on my truck too.

They do, the engine was redesigned (plus other stuff). MDS, VVT, more efficient cylinder heads, active intake manifold, that new 8sp transmission, that new active shutter system on some of the Rams (do all the 13's come with it?). I should hope all this newfangledness gets better mileage than my '03 lol.

Now that's funny. My wifes 07 Acadia is the prius of the family averaging 16-17 around town and 21 on the highway. My truck struggles to get 13 around town and 16bon the highway.

I think the Hemi does pretty decent considering the weight and power. Mine does okay considering tires and regear usually 17 or 18 on highway and 13 in town. There is some deviation there depending on how much I lay into it but I don't think it is too bad really. Winter time is another story get pretty bad mileage all the time as gas is different and truck is warmed up a lot since it sits outside.

13 4x4 with, vararam, ported tb, and magnaflow. I average 15 and can get 21 going 80mph. 55mph seems like the sweet spot I can get around 25

I have an 08 and lots of mods and im getting about 12-14mpg on average. but i drive with a lead foot, cause i love the sound of my exhaust.

also a note is that ever since i put my 6" Off road lights on (4 on my roll bar and 4 on a front light bar) i noticed that it dropped. i was getting about 13-15 on average.

The problem with your mileage has nothing to do with the leadfoot syndrome. What you have is called California traffic or Highway parking lot syndrome.:rocking:

I have a 2013 Crew Cab 4x4 Hemi with 3.55 gears and the 6 speed. Only mods I have that would affect mpg in any way are a Mufflex 24 and a tonneau cover. I have about 4500 miles on it and get on average 14-15 city and 19 - 21 on the highway, calculated manually. The evic "avg mpg" i find to be off by a 1-2 mpg but I only reset that once since I got the truck. The trip A in the evic I reset every fill up and it's pretty dead on. Best highway I got was 23.5 hand calculated. That was on a relatively flat highway and a constant 70 mph. Mds was on a good amount of the trip. I am very impressed with the mileage this truck gets for being so heavy and having basically 400hp.

Wow you all getting some pretty good mpg's. I only drive 3 miles to work and right now im averging 10 mpg. And I keep it under 2k rpm the whole drive to work. Not to mention the town I live in has no stop lights. So I cannot saying its stop and go driving killing my mpg.

I have a '10 5.7 liter. I have had it only a month. The best Average MPG I have gotten was 17.6. That is going <60 and mostly highway back and forth to work. I am in the process of getting ready to install Magnaflow muffler and plan on getting an intake later to see if that number can be improved.
