I have a 97 ram with 318 I'm getting a multiple misfire code on a few cylinders. I've replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pickup coil, coil, cleaned out the cat. At first it took a while to get up to speed then it wouldn't acceleration over 40 mph then 20 what are some other possibilities. I've owned a 89, 91, and now I have the 97 all with the 5.2l and I've never had this problem so I'm clueless as to what else to do. I don't want to keep putting money into it and it not fixing the problem

Yeah, I just noticed that in your OP. With that said, does it rev up fine in park or neutral?

mkay.
So you can't rev it in neutral yet you've gutted the cat. Stupid question, but you have verified the firing order is correct, right?

Yes after I changed the cap and rotor I drove it over 100 miles before it started acting up so I searched the Internet and the cat coil and pick up coil were possibilities so I replaced them and it still has the same problem I was thinking it was the pickup coil cause when I changed the cap I saw that someone had previously pinched the wires to it

Mine did that. My problem was low compression. I'm just swap pin a 5.9 into it.

So firing order is ruled out, does it do it warm, cold or does it matter?

I had the same problem. It turned out that the non OE fuel pump I put on it last year wasn't performing properly. I replaced it with one that meets the OE standard and now runs great.
