CODE c1036 changed rear axle speed sensor, still have lights on? Also won't shift into 4wd hi, will go into 4wd low. (electronic) swapped out solenoid on transfer case with a known good one, no difference. does the ABS have anything to do with the 4x4 TIA

It's good bet you have a wiring/corrosion issue but there have been some ABS module/pumps go south.Especially if the brake fluid hasn't been changed every couple years. And yes ABS and 4WD systems all tied together.

Check the wiring harness connect that is just behind the left front tire. Lay under the truck and look up behind the inner fender liner and you will see the large, black connector along with a 2nd, smaller connector. Unplug them both and inspect for water intrusion and corrosion.
