Finally got round to removing the charge air pump - easy enough job, but when I removed the two long bolts at the bottom left of the pump coolant started dripping out! There is an aluminum spacer between the pump bracket and the engine block. I replaced the bolts and the spacer and the leak has stopped. BUT... there is no mention of this in the workshop manual. How can coolant leak out from a bracket mounting? Is there a crack somewhere in the block?
