I think a few of you already know this, BUUUUTTTT I'm a bit of an audiophile, and I miss it... SO I started looking for ways to pump up the stock system a bit because as we all know, stuff for these trucks are NOT cheap at all.
First thing I did was find a way to run an aftermarket equalizer. In my case, it was super easy because my phone provides 99.9% of all the music for the truck so I simply loaded an app (Look in the geek section for it) called DSP manager that allows me to individually control the frequency bands and set loudness correction as well as a few other goodies.
The second and last poor man mod I did was pull the factory woofer out (you have to remove the box entirely) and wrapped it with poly-fill. Super easy to do, just pull the box, pull the woofer, wrap the woofer and reinstall it.
MAJOR improvement with the poly-fill alone and the equalizer helps out tons. Bad thing is that I'm really getting the itch for some audio stuff. :/
