After having the bilstein's in my garage for a month I finally found time to put them on.
2.8 with 295/55/20 Trails most likely going to 275/60/20 KO2's before winter.

I do too just can't find it within myself to pay 1600 bucks for tires that spend the majority of their life on pavement.

as far as the ride change. i didn't notice to much change. i didn't have much time in the driver seat before i swapped them though. i dont think you will notice to much on 2.1, maybe a little stiffer
i did not replace all 4 with the bilstein shocks. just the fronts

Luke

Thanks! Still trying to decide what to do...

Kwb,

I did all four shocks, 2.1 in the front, and the ride does change. I went roughly 42k miles with the stock setup. It's described as being a stiffer ride and I feel that sounds negative but the best I can explain is that it doesn't have that bouncy or squishy feeling when you hit a bump (you don't jiggle around in your seat as much) and almost no lean when taking a turn or curve. Still super comfortable. Hope that all makes sense lol. Tires effect the ride also so keep that in mind. With that said I'm happy with how it all turned out and I absolutely recommend it! :happy107:

Thanks for the feedback. Still running stock right now - had the truck for 3 weeks or so... Hope to do something soon..

Not a spacer lift, I meant wheel spacers? Any rubbing on the control arms with the 285's and stock wheels?

I planned on bilsteins at 2.8 with bills in back and 275/60 20 with more aggressive tire. I have 4×4 but will see 99 percent pavement

That true for most people but that 1% is a big 1%
If you were in a situation where you need 4x4 and traction and don't have it you'll be kicking your self for days

I have the Bilsteins set at 2.1 with 275 70/17's. Might go up to 285's on the next set of tires81915c8611f0ff915051e50215b47477.jpg

Had mine installed 10 minutes ago. Whole job took less than 40 minutes minus the alignment which will have to be monday. Super Easy if you have a good spring compressor and air tools.
