I've got AMP steps and love them! My next truck will get them too! The passengers side did freeze up on me once this winter. That's because I didn't wash it much, and it was only me getting in the truck, so the passengers side didn't open much.

They're definitely worth it. I love the no step look, plus they come down lower than other steps, making it easier for you to get in and out!

They are on my list, is it hard to get rid of O.E.M wheel to wheel CC/6.4 bed chrome steps?

Will the frozen slush/ice wear out the motors on the running boards?
I also heard they have override switches available.

Anybody have any comments on Bestop Running Boards? Bestop are cheaper?

I've had AMP's for about 2 years here in Alaska now, no issues with the snow, ice, slush, etc... I had one issue with the controller burning out, but AMP replaced it overnight. Great customer service with this company.

Amp steps are great, I love mine and can’t imagine not having them. I noticed the 2019 ram showed powered steps on it.

Snow doesn’t appear to be an issue

I've got the AMP Powerboards on mine, and love them. I did some research, and you'll find that AMP invented these things, and licenses them to other companies. BesTop used to be AMP's distributor, but now they make their own model. It's cheaper, but also inferior from what I've read. I decided to spend the extra and get the best I could find. They're a little harder to install (at least mine were), but you can't best the quality or customer service.
