Looks like I need a tranny, local guys want 2200.00 to rebuild mine without a converter. Found this place, anyone ever hear/deal with them? Thanks

Hello,

I have a 1998 ram 5.9L diesel with the 47re transmission. I had searched around for used or a rebuilt unit. I ended up purchasing from Smart Parts Automotive, the price i couldn't find anywhere else even close and the shipping charges were great.
