I was thinking of going to a salvage yar, and finding an 80s era Ram, and do the Mopar version of the Expendables F-100, flat blk, etc...

Hey Guys, I'm a newb here and just picked up a 1992 Dodge Power Ram 150 LE that has been garage kept all of its life. I actively searched to find a clean 92-93 to fix up as a toy for myself and also pull a camper and motorcycle for weekend getaways. Took quite a while to find this one as most are in pretty poor condition. I got lucky and am pretty happy with my find.

Thanks! The topper was purchased as a dealer option when new, its actually a very useful cap but I agree 'caps' are not really my thing. The original owner is 81 years old and he was quite fond of it.

We have a 85 Power Ram 150 "Prospector" sitting in our yard, still runs and is a beast, only reason I don't drive it is because to run it all the time parts need replaced alot, I do wanna restore it to its proper beauty when I get a little older and start making more money.

I would guess some of you "oldtimers" (thats internet Oldtimers) might know about Ramcharger central.
Lots of great builds there and tons of good info from guys who can walk the walk.
Some of my favorite trucks are there...but for me, going backwards is not an option.

I have owned several gen 1s....an 81 W-150 stepside with a slant 6 4 spd, D-100 2 wd, and a 78 Ramcharger 4x4 318 auto. Traded that rustbucket for my 2000.

I haven't seen too many of 1st gens around, so I came across this truck and bought it. Sitting now, it has been primered but will soon have a matte black finish. I just returned form a road test of the vehicle, from South Dakota to Maine, approx 5200 miles total and only had 2 minor problems. A brake pads stuck and needed replacement and the wire on the injection pump came off. I kept it at 60/65mph and let everyone pass me, but it handled well, operated very well and was actually somewhat comfortable....

Hi all. I'm new here and this thread caught my eye. I just got a 1992 D250 a few days ago. The PO said it has a 318 in it but the VIN says it's a 360. I'll have to figure that out later. I'll hopefully be doing a few upgrades in the near future. I will be going a little higher with it. I'll have to at least be as tall as my wife's Bronco next to mine in the pic.

I like the first gens a buddy of mine used to have an 88 I think it was but is negligent on maintenance and never changed the oil. As bulletproof as the 318 is it can only take so much from a careless owner... It was a clean truck though I'll browse around Facebook and see if I can't snag a pic.
