While driving, with the Light Selector set to AUTO, the dash lighting came on bright and headlights turned OFF. AUTO setting on Light Selector no longer works. All other light selector settings function normally. How to troubleshoot

Do you have the AlphaOBD app by any chance? I ask because it has the ability to show the input from the light sensor near the windshield on the dash. If that's malfunctioning then the Auto setting might not work (depending on which direction the reading was off). Other scanners may be able to show this info as well but I suspect only the high end ones.

It is however, more than likely the switch if you feel like firing the parts canon at it.

The sensor on the dash for the Auto headlights: 68230114AB
This is the dual sensor that works for trucks with ATC.

I believe boostedmotorsports on youtube covers this issue. If i remember correctly all he did was take it apart and clean the inside terminals and it worked after that. Try that before you replace.

Thank you all for the comments. The videos were very informative and cleaning the switch did the trick.

Glad you got it working, especially without having to replace any parts!
