Avg MPG? I know, it is subjective to how heavy your lead foot is

I've only got 17k miles on it. I really shouldn't need new plugs.

It's frustrating when I see people get 17+ routinely and I'm stuck at 14.3
Same! I bought mine in January, so I know I've always been running winter blend. I would say that I'm not particularly heavy on the go pedal, but I'm not easy on it either.

2012 Crew Cab 1500 stock 5.7, stock exhaust, stock tires, 3.55 gears, 58k miles. I recently did the plugs, but that hasn't change my MPG at all. The 15.0 was my first fill up and that was more than average lightfootness. 89 octane all fill ups.

Gordin, I'm like you. I'm not heavy on the gas all the time, but sometimes I just love to hear the motor roar to life. I was hopeful with 16.0. that was right after the new air filter.

I don't know if I should pick up a different filter (intake). Maybe in the spring.

I put the AEM dryflow in. If nothing else I'm not buying a new air filter every 10-15k miles.

I got mine in late September and have around 3400 miles on it. I work from home, so the vast majority of my driving consists of 5 mile round trips to the coffee shop and grocery store kind of things. I'm getting about 14.4 mpg doing that. I almost never drive on the freeway 'cause I have no where to go.... ;) Back in November, I drove from Boise to Portland and I got 18mpg going and 16mpg coming back. I had the cruise control set at 80 until I hit the Oregon border and then it was set at 75 pretty much the rest of the way. I had a solid head wind coming back, and it's also generally uphill, so that's why I think my mileage was worse. I use 89 octane and everything else is stock.

so I guess it's not unusual to get 14-15 with almost pure city driving.

Seems like it to me... When I first got it, I was lighting up the tires at just about every abandoned stop sign. My mileage was around 12mpg. Since I've backed off that practice, it's been better. I had a 2001 Yukon with a 5.3, 4 speed, and 3.73 rear end before the Ram and I was getting about 14mpg with it as well, so I'm good with it.

I work from home full time. Most driving I do in a typical week is a 25 mile drive to see family. I've had the truck 2 months and have only put 1500 miles on her.

I'm coming from a 2001 F150 SuperCrew 5.4 with 220k miles. I didn't even bother keeping track of that truck, I was probably in the 12mpg range. Better, now, but not great. It is a truck, though... so there is that.

I have a 2009 1500 4x4. I run 87 and am pretty much city driving 99% of the time. I have a magna flow muffler so far as mods, and my tire size is 285/75 17. I pretty much average 15.8 to 16.2mpg and that is hand calculated which is sometimes a lil different than what dash says. Now when I do use the highway i can eek out 21mpg at times. I think thats pretty good for a truck rated at 13city and 18 highway

I watched my shift points today on a 25 mile trip. If I don't ump all over the gas pedal, I never went above 3k rpm.

2017 Laramie 4x4 with 5.7 and 3.92 rear end. Mostly running errands around town, a few miles on the freeway. Computer consistently reports 14.5 MPG. I noticed my tires were at 35ish PSI, so with the new P275/60R20 Toyo open country AT II I made sure to air the up to 40 PSI. Computer now showing 15.3, but still on first tank of gas on new tires.

I have seen 19 when cruising the open highways

I watched mine from work to home and back again and never break 2300 unless pulling out into traffic and need to get up to speed in a hurry. Even then it barely breaks 2500, no where near 3k. Are you sure you don't have a case of leadfootitus????? lol

I don't. If I did it would be over 4k for shift points.

2017 5.7 4x4, all stock. 3.21 gears running 87 octane. Not a real lead foot with this truck but no tolerance for rolling road blocks and will pass as necessary. I reset the trip computer shortly after I bought in early Nov/17 so the average shown is all winter blend I guess. Never been interested enough to bother with hand calculated. Shows 20.0 or 20.1 over almost 2400 miles.Combination of town and highway miles. Our version of city here does not involve much bumper to bumper traffic.20180317_190508.jpg

2017. Crew cab, Hemi 3.92 rear, have gotten 21.5 driving cruise control at 68 mph.
Now long trip is different. 89 octane at 80 - 90 mph 90% cruise control, the rest my leadfoot with spurts up to 100 passing on I95 going to Florida this weekend from Nj I'm getting 16.5 mpg on the lie-o-meter. Will have to calculate actual later. Oh yeah had some slowdown around DC for about an hour varied from a stop to about 60 mph off and on.

100% stock, no lead foot, but all city driving. I average 12.5-13 mpg on 87 octane.
