Welll after doing some research, .He should be able to get most of the parts . Half the price of the dealer. Thru lmc truck. That would add to the not totaled tally!

Hey everyone..

So heres what happened.

Insurance called it a total.

Pretty upset about it, I loved that truck and it really sucks the way things ended up.

I don't run a body shop, nor a junkyard, nor have the time to fix her. So I did not buy the truck back from insurance. From the picture I posted on here the damage was worse than it looked (although it did look horrible). Bed was totaled, along with the bumper. Front fender and headlight as well. The cab got really beat up- hard to describe in writing, but the bed pushed up into the cab and really screwed the passenger cab side and creased the whole rear of the cab. Frame was tweaked on it.

So basically, I took the insurance settlement, which actually was quite a decent amount (more than I paid for it).

Time to find a new truck and i've been searching like crazy.

The way I look at it is I had the truck a few years, put 40k miles on it, and made money. Sucks to see it go but that's just the way things ended up.

Well I'm in the market for a 2500, 05 and up... 4x4
I would prefer a regular cab again, but i'm tossing around the idea of a QC.

As for the power plant, I swore my next truck would be a cummins.
I'm trying hard to find one that's in my price range, and i've come across a few.

It's tough to find exactly what I want used, in good shape, lower miles, and somewhat close to home to drive to and see.

I would of bought it back, for the price you paid for it, But thats just me. Good luck on the cdt. They are truly a different breed! and a good one at that!! Very few problems from what I gather.... Glad it has a somewhat happy ending.

sucks to hear they totalled it but it could be worse...you could of owed more than they gave you ive heard of that happeneing. Plus you get to look for a new truck! I love looking for a truck and get a quad cab I went from a rumble bee to my 08 quad cab and am glad I did I love the extra room!

That really sucks, looking at those pics makes me sick and it isn't even my truck! Good thing is, that your OK! I know you'll miss your truck but, getting a new one might be better.
