I know there’s been a few posts about this but while I searched and read through over 100’s of posts. Which bolt size should I get? Because I saw two different sizes posted.
M8 1.25 X 50mm ot 1.25 X 30mm
Which ones should I get?

So far I have the following to do the install:
BBK ceramic coated headers
Remflex gasket 6022
Anti-sieze lube
Various 10mm sockets & wrenches

Please let me know if I’m missing anything or you have any tips or tricks for the install.

If it was me, I'd just call Matt @ Moe's, and have him send some to you. He carries the good stuff.

I might be wrong, but the headers should come with bolts, don't waste money on fancy bolts,as headers don't break bolts like cast iron manifolds do. I had Stage 8 bolts on my headers, last time I had the headers off,i threw them in a bucket and stuck the original bolts in that came with the headers.Stage 8's are a waste of money,as you can't get all the locking clips on them, and the clips have been known to rattle, causing issues with your knock sensors.

Stage 8 bolts :) Don't use the ones in the kit they are cheap bolts and they will rust and seize.

As for the C CLips I had no issues putting mine on. But I had Long Tubes so much more room to maneuver. But you dont actually need to use teh C clips if you dont want to.

Good choice on the remflex, thats what I used as well since I got those cheap JBAs headers. The ceramic coating is all pealed off and my JBAs are all rusty after just 4 years...lol... Should've gotten ARH like everyone said...

Here is the remflex beside the cheap JBA

I call ******** on you getting "all" the clips on a set of Stage 8 bolts, lol.

There's nothing wrong with the bolts that come with most headers.I'd like to see a bolt with anti-seaze on it rust into place.45 years of being around farming equipment and the oil patch, can't say as I've ever ran into a bolt rusted into place that's covered in anti-seaze .Quit scaring people into spending more money then they have to.

The Remflex gaskets have a recommended torque of 20 lb-ft,any bolt even a cheap grade 3 will hold 20lb-ft of torque all day long.Headers don't stress bolts like cast iron manifolds do,i've been around headers since I was 16 and i'm now 58,never ever seen a header bolt break or sieze into place if it's got a coating of anti-seize on it. If you're gonna go with an upgraded bolt, then step up to ARP's,Stage 8's are a waste of money,as you're nuts to use the locking clips on a Hemi, they have a tendenancy to rattle and cause the knock sensors to pull timing.A lot of tuners recommend not using the locking clips because of that fact.

Well if you cant figure out how to put them on you shouldnt be wrenching on engines :) lol

Lets see the hard side, the driver's side header, lol. Now take the headers off, lol. You do realize a lot of tuners will recommend not using the clips.

Not just me that don't like the clips, alot of tuners don't either, lol.I wouldn't harp on it,but you guys keep promoting the Stage 8's,and they aren't the end all be all of header bolts.

Well that's fine, you can use the factory ones. Some people don't mind spending a little more money and get better Stage 8 bolts.
Yes, I too have done a lot of racing, street cars and a lot have headers...and we all used better bolts.
But you can use the ones that come in the box, I have zero issues with that. As you shouldn't have issues I don't.

Stage 8 ya paying for the fastener name....if the clips rattle then modern tech going retard timing which equals less power.
Now on the older non-computerized vehicles....doesn't matter.
As far as bolt quality you can get the same in USA made bolts at Grainger, Fastenal, Automotive Fastener etc for less.
8.8, 10.9 even 12.9 grade are equal to and the later 2 are better but like Wild one said not necessary for headers in aluminum threads.
No factory bolts for headers only bolts for exhaust manifolds on the Rams.

I was referencing Stage 8 for the build qty, not the name. I just used Stage 8 on my builds as well as ARP for rod and mains.
Sure there are some less expensive, same tensile strength. The clips shouldn't rattle, the clips are to actually not let the bolt back out, at least past a certain point. And for sure not enough to cause a 'detonation' scare to the computer.
But one is not 'superior' to the other.

Well you're wrong there. The clips have been known to cause the knock sensors to pull timing, they're in the same ball park as an incorrectly routed dipstick tube, which will also cause issues with pulling timing if it happens to rest up against a primary tube.If you don't believe us,check with Jay Greene,he's had these issues with knock sensors and stage 8 clips on several vehicles he's tuned.I know in the LS world they've also had issues with the clips rattling and affecting tuning. You don't need a high tensile strength bolt with headers, headers do not stress a bolt like a cast iron manifold does, plus the OP is going with Remflex gaskets which only require a torque of 20 lb-ft,and don't require retorquing like a lot of header gaskets do. A decent set of headers will have a bead around the ports which is usually milled flat and stands proud of the header flange, while the flange itself stands away from the heads slightly, which means there's more give and take in the flange itself when the engine is up to operating temp, and the fact there's some give and take in the flange means there's less stress on the bolts. There's no give and take with a cast iron manifold,it bolts flush to the head,so when it expands and contracts, the bolts take all the stress which cause them to stress facture with enough heat cycles.
