Okay, so for when I get my truck I want to upgrade to HIDs and want some good looking headlights to go with them. I was thinking something along the lines of these...

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=261083433087&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=41442976133

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=261082109906&index=2&nav=SEARCH&nid=16380506781

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=360482611251&index=6&nav=SEARCH&nid=17503885526

I don't want projectors, I just don't like the way they look... I really want to have a blackout effect since the truck is black, but some chrome ones might catch my attention. I want something that will fit the HIDs and have a pretty good light pattern without the projector look. Feel me? Any ideas would be great, and if anyone has some pictures of lights like these on their trucks, please feel free to post them up!

Thanks, Pete.

what you ask is not possible. Have you seen JJ(retro shops RF vendor) work. Look at Ramhunter9's headlights. JJ did them, they are unlike any ebay projector headlight, custom built. HIDs are meant to be in a projector housing. Ive done it both ways and will never run HIDs without a projector. Its good not to get ebay or recon projectors, they are made for halogen bulbs not HIDs.

I like those A LOT! lol How much would something like that cost me though? I'm working off a severely limited budget because of school.

PM 0212353 its his member name(crazy I know, silly JJ). he will price you out. And if your asking my opinion its worth the wait to save for them(he uses projectors made for HIDs). Also if you can wait a little longer after that I suggest the Digital HID kit. Ive run them on everything with no issues. But I understand that people have budgets and do what they can. Good luck buddy.

its a brand. JJ also sells them with his custom lights. They are from a company called retrosolutions. you can find there info here custom HID conversions, HID kits, LED, CCFL specialists - retrosolutions Ive gotten the 55w kit every time also. I like 6000k for my heads(very light blue tint to the light) 4300k will give you the most usable light(light your eyes can use). Then I like 3000k for fog lights. When using the yellow light(3000k) your eyes dont see as much of the fuzz aka snow and fog, helping you see better in bad conditions. I dont run projectors in my fogs but I due use caps.

I'm with Reese on this one. Save up for a nice set from JJ vs buying ebay crap lights and hid's. Saving up is exactly what i did and it was well worth the wait and money.

its no problem, its what the forum is for. And for me headlights was not a place I wanted to go cheap with, they are too important.

That set that was posted above, for Dave's truck - I think are my favorite 2nd gens so far. A great mix of chrome and black.

Pricing? Not the cheapest mod, but - well, see above. :D

Hit me up on email and I'll get ya squared away! [email protected]

Once I get the truck you'll most likely be hearing from me! I'd love a set just like it. Nothing too over the top, yet functional. I'll let you know!

I bought generic Ebay Projector lights + DDM HIDs.
I was very depressed with the light output.

Save yourself the learning experience and buy some quality retro'd units from JJ.

are you the one that posted a very very very erratic light dispersal pic? if so that was crazy bad.
