Picked up a new (left over) 2024 1500 Limited Elite this past Monday. 5.7L Hemi eTorque.

Going over the maintenance schedule, I see a huge difference in the recommendations for the Accessory Drive Belt - one schedule says replace every 15 years or 150,000 miles while the other schedule says to replace it at 20,000 miles then every 10,000 miles after.

For the maintenance schedule of the spark plugs, one schedule say to replace them at 10 years or 100,000 miles while the other schedule says to replace them every 30,000 miles.

See the 2 attached pics.

I thought that engines, for many years now, had to run to 100,000 miles without any work or parts replacements in order to meet emissions requirements.

Thanks for any advice.

My 2014 is right about at 107,000 miles. I've already decided to have my serpentine and tension idler replaced at next OCI in a couple months.

I ask at every service and I'm constantly told the belt looks fine, even though all original. Problem is there is only 1 belt, and if/when it pops I'm dead in the water. Potential exists for a life-altering event here.

It's not a big expensive job and I want to get in front of it.

The older Hemi used to be 30K miles on the spark plugs, the newer ones are 100K or longer. If you read the ** note about the plugs it states they're mileage based only the yearly based intervals don't apply.

Looks like the difference might be if it's equipped with stop/start? I suppose that puts more strain on some parts? I know the manual for my 2014 extremely well as I follow it to the letter to maintain my MaxCare Lifetime Warranty and the big differences are for fleet/commercial use like Ambulance, etc. Of course, back in 2014 (thankfully) there was no stop/start. That has got to be the most annyony feature of newer cars. Wife's Jeep has that and I swear it's dangerous.... Pull up to a stop and just as I'm going to pull out the car stops and sputters to start again.... Then, I remember to hit the damn button to turn the glorious feature off.
