Will 1.5" Spacers clear the stock studs? I ordered a set from Motorsports. There was a little mix up and I received 1.25". I heard couple people suggesting 1.5 would clear and some stated 1.75 was needed..

I originally only wanted 1.25 but I knew they wouldn t clear. Didn't really want to step all the way up to 1.75..

my 1.5" bora wheel spacers did not clear I had to trim the studs. 1.75" is needed to clear studs without trimming.

The 1.5" does not fully clear the wheel stud but you only need to trim off the non threaded portion of the stud to clear them. If your wheels have the recessed pockets in their mounting face then you don't need to trim anything as there is enough clearance but if your wheels have a flat mounting face then you will need to trim the stud.

My wheel had a flat mounting surface so 1.5" would not clear. I didn't want to trim studs so I emailed Lenny and asked him about it and he told me they can make any size you would like. I ended up having him custom make 1 5/8" spacers because I too did not want to run much more than 1.5" spacers.

Okay that makes sense. My Rims are flat on the back so looks like some slight trimming to get the 1.5" spacers to work. No biggie. Thanks guys..

Edit- I was going to have him custom make some spacers until further conversations I had with the company today. Very dissapointed in the lack of customer service in dealing with this company to the point that I would not refer them to anyone.

Weird, I had a completely different experience with them. Even spoke to Lenny on the phone and ordered them through him directly.

I'm going to assume you've got some concrete evidence to back that up...right?

Wheel adaptors (which is what this thread is about) are no worse for your truck than offset wheels. Just buy quality adaptors and torque to spec, they'll be fine. I've had mine on for almost 30,000 kms, I've towed lots, they've been amazing.
