I want to build my transmission to hold up to at least 800 hp. What rebuild kits and torque converters are y’all running

Google books there is literature on building the 727 or 46re 518 whatever you want to call it

The torque is the gig. Build it for a diesel. If it’s race only, who needs OD. Streetable? A 360 / 800 hp needs a massive bottom end. I got cap walk at 600. But a 2800-3000 stall from Hughes will be best. I’ve burned them all up. PATC lasted for a bit longer than any others, but the best so far have been FL Torque Converter. They put more into it and stand by their build. Hughes is super. Harder to get exactly what you need. Someone else might have better luck.
