Does it honk, if you lock the doors on exit (both manually and with Fob) ?Can someone tell me how I can get more than 3 feet from my running 2022 Ram, with FOB in my pocket, and not have the horn start honking at me? Thanks

Your truck is a 2022 model year ... Just go into the dealership and tell them the problem and they should re-program your FOB under warranty ...I can understand both options - just finding it hard to understand why dodge would not give owners a chance to decide this kind of setting for themselves. Can someone tell me if this AlfaOBD I keep hearing about would allow me to change this honking issue?
A few times I have got out , truck off, hit the lock button on door switches and as I walk away it will beep and door is not lockedNot quite right. The horn will beep if you leave the FOB IN the pickup and try to lock the doors with the electronic lock button on the arm rest, or the black insert in the outside door handle. It will however lock first try if you push down the silver manual tab on the inside pf the door and all the other doors are locked.
If the FOB is out of the pickup, whether it is running or not, all the lock options are available first try.
It does matter. This issue is only an issue for 2022 trucks.Yeah I’ve never had that problem, mines a 2019 though so not sure if that matters.
On my 2021, it will lock just fine with a spare live fob in the ruck, running or not.I have a 2022. What if you get out when its running, leave the fob inside, and lock it using the spare fob? I'm going to give that a try.
I have a solution to the Horn Honk with Key Fob in pocket issue!Honk as in your horn, or your chime dinging saying fob has left the truck? If horn, never heard of that before, for chime, nope, can't change that. Leave the FOB in the truck as others have said.
Anyone interested???It requires very minimal wiring packaged as I have it.
