when i get my trans worked on in a few months probably, im gonna pull the motor and upgrade it a little bit all i have right now is intake and exhaust. its a 1999 5.9 v8 looking to spend about $1000 any suggestions? i was thinking bigger cam?

Heads and a tune spend a little more and do the cam as well

Real mild cam and Harland Sharp 1.7 ratio roller rockers, double roller timing set, kegger mod, 52mm throttle body, free flowing intake, tuner.

Hi ramman,

heads will be your biggest gain, then cam. Small block Chrysler heads can flow good but need a little massaging to do so. Increased rocker ratio will help but make sure you have good valve to piston clearance if you change it.
