Looks great! I finally got the 426 home a couple weeks ago. It'll go into Red or perhaps my 56' Willys.

Sweet man! Put her in the red! I want to see more fast 3rd gen. My friend is detaching for a Bee or Daytona to throw his built 46re and 6.4 stroked to a 448 with apache heads and spray. So hopefully houston will have 2 10 sec NA rams then hit them with spray for some 9s. Your 426 with boost will be sick as well and low 10/9s as well

I'm using Stanke shafts and girdles. The covers are close and I have to take special care to line up the spark plug holes to the heads. Stock covers don't fit..

I’m using the same thing so I went with 6.4 oem covers but then found a deal on the billet covers. Going all out as well [emoji1598]

They are heavier, oem has a wall thickness of .187" and Stanke is .250" if I remember right. The various manufacturers have .200", .250" and .300". My memory is shot so to be dead accurate I'd have to look it up. When I was researching it I found the accepted reason for the oem being flexible was because the engine is assembled by robots and needed the shaft to flex. The way I installed the retaining collars required some clearancing to clear the rockers. Another method is to use bushings to stand the clamps off from the side of the rocker. I also used 3/8" push rods. And reverse flow lifters..

Well looks like I’ll be having local 3rd gen competition [emoji1598]a friend has a 448 stroker and a built 46re. It was supposed to go in a dakota but he showed up in this. It will definitely be a badass race when we finally hit the track and line them up. IMG_1586.jpg

It’s coming! All that left is wiring still and brake line and minor other cosmetic ****. I have got to the efan yet.
