Update:

Been getting constant, Rich AF, #6 Misfire and Multipull misfires since the cam went in, clean the injectors for two full tanks of fuel. Reset the CELs and its good until I get on it then the light comes back.

So today i received my 02 **** and installed it on the front sensor (its new also and remember 03 has only one cat). didn't like the way the washers sealed (off centre a tad) but no leaks and plenty of anti-seize.

So the test, I'm gonna drive the **** out of it untill the temp is high and see if the Cels re-appear. Today is wind warnings so I had a side wind of 35-40 MPH happenin.

I figured I would data log run as well, first run OD on in Drive 2wd, got wheel spin and hesitated start loggin a 7.88. Next tried the wind on the other side, OD off and shidted into second at 6200. Interestingly even with the one tire spinning on take-off my 0-30 time was a bit quicker than my best ever (sorry no #'s but in the high 3's) 0-40 was comparative with the 6.1 cam best, but ended up with a 7.11. Third run was same but in 4x4, again with a hesitated start (wearing the wifes Crocs) and got a 7.58.

So overall not bad in a strong wind and still runnin the 3:55's. I plan on doing the gears in the next 3 weeks. I need to weigh my truck too as I am carrying a complete set of goalie gear and another set of player gear in the back as well and have my truck Cap. Also had 3/4 tank of gas when my best run (6.59) was with 1/4 tank fuel and empty box, and no wind.

So long post, happy so far, as Moe's 02 sensor Bungs work. Ported throttle Body on its way and I have a DSP comin at end of Nov which I will try and if I like will get custom Tuning however am not sure I want to trade off the ability to shift in the 6K range but hey haven't evaluated the gear Mod yet either. Thanks, Dan Out.

Thats odd your getting a number 6 cylinder misfire. I also see you have a power wire, maybe pulling that will lean it out some to keep from getting the rich a/f. Its easy enough to swap injectors on these trucks to see if the problem fallows that injector. Maybe also pull 1 or bothe plugs from cylinder 6 and then pull the ones at 4 to see if there burning the same. I have heard of getting the multi misfire code with some cams but thats with higher duration I think.

Checked all that, and have had #6 even before the Pwr wire and with the 6.1 Cam and with high mileageIMO it was the trucks way of telling me the injectors where dirty again (well actually get the code more as they are being cleaned / does that make sense?), so with regular cleanings (every 5,000Km) it seemed to work OK, but for last six months I had stopped doing that as I thought the 91 Octane would keep em clean. Think I' was fooling myself. But, thanks I will keep the idea of pullin the PWR wire and switchin injectors if it will help/WOT. Nice and cool out here today too (approx 50 degrees).

The p0300 multi misfire is pretty much common with any cam other than the 6.1 and stocker. Don't beat yourself up over that one. Cyl specific ones are different but it sounds like you have a handle on that one

Ok Sean Thanks Man. Kenneth Dunno Man but that gives me an Idea. The on ramp for the Great CDN Trans-Canada Highway is about 200-300 Yards down from my place. I could scream onto the Highway and make a run past the house as we film from the Back Porch, but don't really have a good Camera but you fellows and your movie requests maybe I need a proper video Cam. I'll keep it in mind but am not spinning my expensive wranglers till gears and LSD are in. Hopefully the budget still allows that in the next month. good thing I plan on keepin the Magnum stock when I bring it home tommorrow.

Am still waiting on Bob to ship that TB. Will be 3 weeks tommorrow.

LOL, Yep of course, a HEMI. I'll look into it as that would be sweet but I promised to keep it stock (until the 12 month warranty anyways....he...he...he.)

Matter of fact I'm on my way to get it in Lethbridge in about 10 minutes!

As for the Spartan Cam Update its still runnin real good and diluted the Fuel Injector Cleaner saturated fuel with 30 Bucks worth of high test and been 3 days and so far no more P300. fingers crossed. Next (If it ever gets here) is the Ported Throttle Body!

As of today it appears not to have gone out yet after 3 weeks. Bumped up the Hey Bob thread so when he gets a chance to come around here he will see that I am waiting for an update.

Thanks Man, as said before I am very pleased with the results. I am still getting the occassion P300 misfire but understand that that is Normal with these cams. Without beating a dead horse I am still waiting for the ported TB and hope that will add to the package. It is getting real cold fast around here and expect -10 degrees Canadian by Wednesday. Already i find that the truck needs to be warmed well before applying any extra pedal. I have a line on a DSP and will give that a try. As for Custom Tuning I do want that too to get the extra out of it but that all costs Money and I have to slow down as I have spend alot on the Truck this year (yet to Tally the Cost for 2010) and probably will have to postpone doing my gears till spring (Overtime $$).

BTW Like your Mods list. Not many 02 5.9's around especially with Performance Mods, I Like!

thanks. the old 5.9 runs a little better than what she did when i got her. still no where close to where i want to be. hopefully after my cam and heads get put in she will be a little closer. and then in a year or so when i get my supercharger she should be good to go. my buddy(my boss) with his stock 09 ram hemi cannt believe how good it runs. he was impressed. been trying to get him to get a tuner or something but he says hes saving up for a supercharger. cannt wait to see how his runs when he finally gets it. i am thinking it should be badass.
