2006 procharged ram cylinder heads were rebuilt 2k miles ago. Got
Hot enough to melt inside intake plastic runners to melt into 1 and 3 cylinder intake. Previously had new valve seats installed. Had straight edge and can see it being warped a bit. Was thinking about sending back to machine shop. And though he can milk it, 3 angle valve job and replace seals and valves. Would the current seats be good to reuse? I’m debating whether to have risking rebuilt these or going aftermarket. I’m trying to keep price low so I can’t go with edelbrock or the fancy ones. I’ve heard horror stories about buying remanufactured heads online. Anyone have any recommendations? I’m currently looking at this but don’t not sure of their quality.

You do what you want but im telling you in the end with how hot you got that engine the block and the heads they are beyond saveable a good machine shop will tell you that aswell. I have worked on so many of these trucks your going to waste ur time and money just find a used engine throw it in will be cheaper you can find them on facebook for $500-1k hell even a whole parts truck for prty cheap.

Yeah, tell more about what is going on that A) you rebuilt the heads and B) why did they fail within two thou miles?

Had straight edge and can see it being warped a bit.

So a large plate heavy glass is a great way to really tell (see and feeler gauge measure) cylinder head warp. Glass is pretty flexible so a storm window won't do, you need to use something thick and tempered like a glass table top.

Your machine shop should have something like that.

Now the heat, did you have an intake leak or a light (weak) injector?
