The other day it started to rain very suddenly and almost all of the cars on the highway decided to go from 65 MPH to 10 MPH in a matter of seconds. :flame:

With that, I had to apply my brakes rather abruptly and felt the ABS actuate and slow the vehicle down in a controlled manner - like it's supposed to do.

Immediately upon applying the brakes, the dash brake light came on and has stayed on after several start/stops of the engine. I checked the brake fluid and it's right where it needs to be. It doesn't stay on when the car is off.

What else could it be? What else should I check?

Thanks for your help on this!

If the fluid level is good and you don't have a soft pedal, it could be a fault in your ABS system--assuming you've already checked fuses and pulled battery cable (~1/2 hour) to reset everything, the next step would a good brake shop.

Have a parts store scan it. Mine is on and it says fluid is low, but its not so mines probably a bad fluid sensor. Just another option.

ABS light came on too. Wound up just clearing the codes and they both stay off now.

I would bleed the lines just in case there is any trash or air pockets.
