Made my own door panel inserts. Alcantara over 3/8" thick mass load vinyl! :naughty:

**** the cardboard backing that the upholstery shops use, I want mine to have sound deadening properties, lol!

Btw, an upholstery shop quoted me $100 plus shipping for each of these... I spent around $30 on materials and about 3 hours work.

May as well throw these pics in here, too. As this more or less completes my interior plans, for now...

I've got the under on 2 weeks for interior mods....:happy107:

Lmao! Oh boy, I think I need an Intervention, I'm addicted to modding (not to mention I am way to predictable).

****, I know I said those were all my interior mods, but I did leave my way-out by ending it with "for now." Good thing because I just had an idea... :hmm:

Thanks Codered! Haven't found a chick crazy enough to try out my new dash ***** yet... :naughty:

Your idea is great, but I decided a few months ago that my cab won't have anything red at all in it. I even took the red leds out. But I did replace them with blue, because blue looks hot against black and aluminum! :)

I think I might've found the girl for you :roflsquared: taken from the internet memes thread. agreed, the blue would look nice, I think the black or gunmetal gray aluminum would make a nice border for your new door inserts. IMO I think red leds would go best with just the plain Jane black interior of the older rams with no sort of trim except black plastic.

You are thinking what I am thinking, except rather than framing the inserts, I am thinking to run a strip of aluminum runs below the insert...

Quick and dirty ps:

I knew exactly what you were talking about when you said it. That wouldn't be dR style that would be oem style. ;)
oh ok ;) :naughty:. now if you were good with a dremmel you could emboss dR in the aluminum trim.

Acid etch a dR enblem onto a brushed aluminum insert for the middle of the alcantara.

Can I win the under if I egg him on?

I got a dremel, but not sure how steady a hand I have for that...

I could take the aluminum to the mall, to one of those shops that engrave plaques for trophies and awards. They'll do it for less than $20.

Edit: Or even just a short strip like a badge.

IMO I think if it was to be a badge it would look best if you centered it up.
