so i got my kit today, but man i must be having a very special moment right now. These directions make no sense to me(for the t harness) they dont tell you what anything is supposed to plug into?

it will make more sense once you have your lower dash apart and can see the wiring. some of the connectors on the t harness will not be used. theres and extra OBD2 plug. it can only be installed one way.

There are these wires, they don't go to anything?

i have the dball2 with viper smart start, i use my phone to start my truck, unlimited range.

Did you do the smart start install yourself? How hard was it to add it?

I'm contemplating doing it myself to save $70 labor from my local shop. The Dball2 was a breeze.

That was my next question if anyone has added the direct or viper add on to use your cell phone. Does it cost anything a month for service? If so how much... What part number did you get for your add on

i had it in my '11 durango. i had the directed one. i only had the basic plan so it was like 180 or so for 3 years at the time (back in 11)

i would use the FOB for short distance starting and the phone app for long range

i believe so, but dont quote me as i havent done a '15. just get the t-harness and the module.

any directed branded app starter (smart start) will be a plug and play with the dball.

the hardest part is the smart start activation as you need to be a dealer to do it.

go to the dball2 site put in the truck it gives you the exact locations of the wiring and colors no pics, but pretty straight forward.

smart start is really only a direct plug into the dball and a power and ground.
