I am about to get into either a 2015 Power Wagon or 2500 with Cummins.
I have seen a loaded 2500 which tops out at the Limited level and has a gorgeous interior. The Wagon tops out at the Laramie. My local dealer had a base level Wagon which I tried and it drove well for a 3/4 ton, have yet to try the Cummins.
Don't tow too much and like the fact that with the Wagon all it would need to be perfect are 35's or 37's probably on stock rims and a pair of rock rails with steps.
Would appreciate any viewpoints

Thx

I could see myself buying a 6.4L Power Wagon, with every option available, and it being the last pickup I ever buy...

Unless you genuinely feel you NEED a diesel, IDK why you'd pay for one.
My $.02. The Hemi sounds so badass, and given the difference in MPG, you can buy a LOT of gas for the gas-diesel cost difference up front, as well as tough starting in cold, etc.

they are two completely different trucks. What are you going to primarily do with the truck? Long hauls and heavy loads, or off road?

Unless your towing over 10-12,000 pounds the diesel isn't needed, however the PW is awesome off road for a truck. It just lacks some payload over a regular laramie with the 6.4

I LOVE my Cummins, but I didn't intend to buy it when I did. (actually went to look at a 1500 with 3.92 gears and bought this truck for less) But now that I have one going back to a gas's truck will be very difficult as long as we are still pulling a TT. If I didn't tow then a 6.4 PW (or any 6.4 2500) would be my top choice.

Appreciate all the views. Off on Boxing Day to look at both trucks but leaning towards the Wagon - only slight downside is the wait here in Canada for a factory order.

Merry Christmas to all

The Cummins is heavy and will sink like a rock in the mud. Mine did.

I don't believe you can get a PW with a cummins. The reason Ram doesn't offer it is BC it self-defeating being off road. The diesel is too heavy and doesn't have the high rpms needed for carrying the weight off road. As for the hemi, gas is $2/ gal and diesel is $3.50, at least up here in MI, either way it's 75% more expensive everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I love the cummins and wanted to put one in my 83 Ram but the cost to swap plus the cost of fuel, just doesn't make sense to do it.

Sent from my bag phone...

I would have to with the Power Wagon. Those are just bad ass looking truck and you get some nice off-road options like real 4wd and all the other good stuff. I would have loved to get one but the PW's were a little out of my price range. I wish the would have done a 1500 with some of the PW options.

If your not towing (and I mean hard towing 10-12k+ daily) I would pick the 6.4 in any 2500 trim you would like.

I bet they would sell a lot of 1500 PW's. That would be badass. Direct competition with a jeep Rubicon and in a similar price range.
