Gaskets ordered. Head studs ordered. Exhaust manifold studs ordered. $550 down, whatever they charge me at the machine shop to go...

I can't wait for it to be done but I'm about tired of spending money on this thing for a while. I do want some new led lights though...lol

The only way I would want to do them all is if I could control them all with the same remote. Would be too much to keep up with otherwise lol

My rock lights are through my phone. Those others have an actual remote for them.

We don't ask these kind of things. actually I'll probably be close to $3500 in it for the swap once the head is done. Not bad considering these shops are telling you at least $10000 starting for a diesel swap because of the labor.

And money total for everything on the truck? No freakin idea but no where near the price for a new one.

So I've gotten everything off except for the injectors and head studs. I'm going to pull those in the morning and yank the head off. My buddy at the machine shop is supposed to be there tomorrow till noon so I want to get it dropped off tomorrow. I'll have to take the exhaust manifold off once the head is out because a bolt on the back is stripping. I ordered new bolts anyways.

Head is off and I'm headed to the machine shop. It actually looks pretty good under there you can see where the oil canal and the water canal connected in the back but there isn't any leakage anywhere else. I could probably get away with just putting the head back on with a new gasket but I'm going to have it checked and do it right. Not planning on doing this twice...

Not yet but I should know something today or tomorrow. I decided to have my injectors tested at a reputable place near my dad's work. All 6 are bad...they are going to rebuild them for me and make them +40 hp injectors. I'm also buying my head gasket from them so they gave me a hell of a deal since they know my dad really well.

Sorry to hear that but i guess it's good to find out now rather than when your taking a trip with it.
