Does anyone not like the 2019 RAM 1500?

Actually thought about trading my '15 in on a '19, mainly for the "reclining" rear seats since mine is the family truckster for road trips. I just dont like the exterior, the 4th gen body style is just a damn good looking truck. Think I am going to drive mine until the wheels fall off, and then buy new wheels.

The interior is nice. Really nice. Sat in a rebel yesterday. But a little too bright and lots of buttons and knobs still. And man a 1500 is a heck of a lot shorter then my 2500

Have a 16 rebel. I like the exterior of the 4th gen better. But that whole center section of dash and center console would be welcomed nicely in my truck.

The brow and the hood badges are the worst part of the new front end. The brow dominates the look of the front end in a not good way. The badges look cheap and tacky. They could have fit 1500 on the door next to the RAM that is already there.
The huge gap between the hood and the brow needs fixed too. The 1500 needs to be restyled asap to the look they are showing for the 2500.
I can't count how many times I saw a Tundra and thought it was the new Ram. This would have never happened with the previous 3 generations designs.

I was cross shopping between the two. I found comparable 18 and 19 Laramies advertised for the same price.

I test drove the 19 (5.7) and loved it. Immediately went to make a deal. It turns out the dealer wasn't actually going to sell it for their advertised price, but about $7k more.

The next day I test drove an 18 Laramie EcoDiesel. The difference in interiors wasn't as big as I thought. Sure, the 19 had more room and the panoramic sunroof, but the 18 sure wasn't bad.

So I bought the 18. Better price, better engine (for me), and still a nice interior.

All I know is after driving a new Silverado, a new F150 and a new Tundra,
I definitely liked the Ram the best.
It wasn't even close really...

I sat in a 2019 at the new car show, the rear reclining seat is a nice idea but too recline it the bottom cushion moves forward to the front seats. The angle made my back feel better but my knees didn’t and felt cramped inside while forced into the bucket seat back. It’s a nice feature for kids I guess

If reclining seats are a great feature for traveling folks, get a mega cab, the backs recline instead of the seat bottoms. Great truck to travel in!

I've seen a few 5G's out here, and I'm okay with the exterior - but man, that Rebel dash/interior looks way too crowded. Like the trim, but just seems cluttered and cramped to me.

I looked at the 19's and did not see enough benefit to spend the extra $$$$ over my new 2018. The interior is different, but I'm not sure it is better. The reclining rear seat doesn't matter to me because I'm driving and don't carry passengers often. The front end looks like either a Toyota, GMC, or Ford....or a mix of the three.

If I could have had it for the same money, I would have bought the 2019, just because it is a model year newer....I don't dislike it, I just don't "love" it enough to pay extra for it. My 2018 works fine for me...

I don’t like that they have two different front ends. I like the bighorn and Laramie, but not the limited as much.

Good news, it's not water cooled. They ran water through it to heat it in cold weather so it will turn easier & save fuel....:wtf2:
Hey if people think a simple air filter change improves fuel mileage let the dealers think that helps fuel mileage too :happy175:

I like it but i like the 3rd gen the most. But maybe im biased because i have a 3rd gen. I really like the 2nd gen too. Still want to get a second gen and drop a hemi in it. Ive been hearing of a ram 1500 with the hellcat engine in it. That would be cool
