Drop shackle install help......

Has anyone installed 2" drop shackles in the rear, and had their O/L spring removed? If so do you have detailed instructions. I have a decent mechanical working knowledge and tools but have never dug into my truck.

on my 05 i had drop shackles for a little while. I however didn't remove the o/l. the drop shackles were easy. You do have to have the whole rear of the truck off the ground supported by the frame, then use a jack under the rear differential to move the axle up and down to be able to line the holes back up on the rear of the leaf springs.

^Exactly. I never took off the OL either, but I had drop shackles on mine before the flip kit too.

This should help you out, it's pretty easy to do.

What extra bolt? You just re-use the bolt that holds the OEM shackle on
