I'm currently wired to the reverse lights but I'm just needing some time to wire in the relay with a 3 way switch.

Been thinking of just buying a 12" light bar and mounting it under the receiver....I'll get much better light output.

That's an interesting place to put them. But wouldn't be my first choice. I did think about rigging up an actuator and have the lights fold down from under the truck when put it into reverse.

When you do this, do yourself a favor and get flood. Don't get spot. Doesn't do you any good throwing light 300 yards behind you.

That is what I did with mine and I love the fact it shines the area up around the entire back of my truck.. rather than just a pencil beam 300 yards..

I did mine in Sept of 2015. No rust issues or wire issues. I used paint touch up to do the edges of the area I cut in the bumper.

And yes, use thick tape withe layers! :)

my flush mounts are spots and i also mounted pendant floods on a separate switch at each corner of the bumper using the outside bumper mount boltholes.hopefully the'll stay out of the water when i'm backing in the boat.the spot/flood combo throws a rediculous amount of light.

Jeez, even before my wife took them from me I would have never had the balls to cut into my bumper like you guys do. Those lights look AWESOME and I am jealous. I love the look and love the light output. Ram (and other manufacturers) should really consider doing this from the factory.

I mounted some Opt7 Nova Plasma DRL bars under my bumper, above my receiver hitch. Pretty inconspicuous for the most part, but a decent amount of light output to see backing up at night.

. This last picture is through my tinted window which is 20% and at 7:30pm. So it's dark and as you can see, no need to roll the window down!!!

Anybody have problems with there back up sensors not working? Mine kept telling me to clean them (which I did) until the computer just turned them off...

Truck is at the dealer for some warranty work and I mentioned the problem....now I got charged an hour labor. They claim when they disconnected the lights at the trailer harness it fixed the problem which lead them to believe the current draw was causing interference....or the brightness was throwing them off.

Don't the sensors shut off when there's a trailer attached? Maybe with the lights plugged in the truck was sensing the extra resistance and thought it was plugged into a trailer.

The service advisor advised me to run the wire to the tail lights to fix the problem. He asked if he wanted one of his techs to do it...but it would have cost me another hour in labor.

Regardless, I'm taking the lights off the axle. After following behind my wife while she drove....I thought they just looked stupid. Probably just move them to the hitch receiver.
