Gents,

Just had katzkin leather installed and found something behind the backseat that caught my eye. I wonder if the installer got lazy; it looks unplugged to me. Does anyone know the home for this plug?

That is not uncommon.

It's my understanding that all the trucks use a similar wiring harness and some trucks, depending on options, may not use all of the plugs.

My Crew Cab Lonestar has 1 or 2 plugs underneath the backseat that are not connected to anything.

It MAY be for the under seat lighting the upper trim models have.

I think those plugs are for the optional under-seat lighting and rear heated seats found on some of the Limited/Longhorn trucks.

It is for the underseat lighting. It's supposed to be clipped onto the inside of the seat bracket.

Yup, that is the main feed plug for the rear seats. There is a smaller plug on the seat itself for the rear lights, and a larger plug on the seat itself for the heated option.
